Crawford was participating in Team Watson’s Celebrity Charity Basketball game to raise money for the LifeDriven Foundation. The foundation supports teenagers that are diagnosed with cancer.

Crawford seemed pretty pleased with his charity match winning display, celebrating the result on his Instagram account. “And the MVP award goes to who… Nun other than the two time undisputed champ, Terence Bud Crawford!!!” was the caption of the photo of the boxer proudly holding his MVP trophy.

During the game, he even had a small scuffle with an opposition player, but it turned out just to be a bit of fun between the two.
Terence Crawford

A video of Crawford playing has surfaced on social media and has accumulated hundreds of thousands of views. Plenty of users have taken to the comments to praise the boxer’s performance. “Man of many talents,” wrote one user. “He should play in the NBA and start some beef with Draymond Green. My money on Bud to win that fight,” joked another.

Crawford most definitely seems to be a sporting all-rounder. Back in September the boxer went viral after showing off his skills as a quarterback, throwing several impressive passes.

It was a delight for many fans as they came across Terence Crawford. However, he wasn’t alone. To everyone’s sheer joy, the boxing great was joined by NBA star Russell Westbrook. The point guard with the Los Angeles Clippers could be seen chatting with Crawford. Then he spoke a few words to the latter’s kids before they all shook hands and went their separate ways. The Welterweight champion recently made news as the IBF decided to strip him off their belt.

Consequently, his status changed from that of an undisputed champion to that of a unified champion. However, to most fans, the decision barely stands a chance of denting his legacy. What he has accomplished stays as it is. The Omaha, Nebraska-born southpaw, created history this year when he defeated archrival Errol Spence Jr. on July 29. Ever since there have been multiple rounds of talks on his future course of action.

Two famous sports personalities and joyous fans

From the comments, it was clear that most fans and followers were pleasantly surprised by the gathering of two very famous star athletes. Of course, the usual fun-poking, skeptical crowd milled around.

Terence Crawford

Russell Westbrook has finally met someone whom he can’t even imagine intimidating; the following user shared: “Finally, someone Russ can’t bully.” For this user, from the footage, it never seemed as though Crawford was shorter than Westbrook: “Bud, don’t look that much shorter than Russ right here.” One user said that they are a die-hard fan of Errol Spence Jr.: “Ima Spence fan, okay bud.

The next few appeared to be unwavering fans of the Welterweight champion. For instance, this fan said that in the footage, the only athlete who stood out as an A-lister was Terence Crawford: “@tbudcrawford is the real A1 athlete here.” The next one called the Nebraska native, pound-for-pound, the best boxer in the world: “Bud P4P, best boxer in the world.” According to this fan, genuine elite athletes are able to recognize and acknowledge others of their kind: “Real Recognize Real.

Finally, out of the blue, there was a comment from this user who probably thought about what would happen if Westbrook and Crawford squared up against each other. They envisioned that after 3 months of rigorous boxing training, the NBA point guard would have the upper hand in the ring! “I got Russ with 3 months of boxing training.

Soon after the Spence Jr. fight, Crawford made it clear that he would be happy to take on either Jermell Charlo or Canelo Alvarez.

Exciting times ahead for Terence Crawford

But as it happened to everyone’s shock, Jermell Charlo and Alvarez—got into the ring. The ‘Iron Man’ received appreciation for the brave move, climbing two divisions up to face one of the ‘faces of boxing.’ But it was a step fraught with risk. Finally, when they fought, the Mexican champion steamrolled over the Texas native. Thereafter, ‘Bud,’ in a scathing criticism, shared that he wouldn’t fight the light middleweight champion.

Thus, the super middleweight champion remains a viable option. However, many experts voiced their concern that going over three weight classes is an altogether different ballgame. Otherwise, within the division, Crawford could always go against upcoming star Jaron Ennis, the new IBF welterweight champion. Finally, he might also have to consider a rematch with Spence Jr. The New York-born southpaw decided to activate the rematch clause, which means that Crawford would have to give Spence Jr. his rematch very soon.

You almost never see Terence Crawford smiling once he’s inside the ring. Actually, you rarely see him smiling outside of it either.

For the 35-year-old, he comes off as unforgiving and mean. His actions once the bell rings mirror that. Earlier this year, for the 11th consecutive time, a Crawford opponent was unable to reach the final bell. While it’s commonplace, few expected him to dismantle Errol Spence Jr. a few short months ago.

It was built up as a 50/50 matchup and a tit-for-tat battle. However, first-round aside, Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) issued a one-sided beatdown to the former unified champion.

With all four welterweight titles now draped over his shoulders, Crawford’s already puffed-out chest protrudes just a bit more nowadays, his voice is a bit deeper, and the menacing glare he gives his opponents and media members feels more terrifying. But while Crawford, by and large, is viewed as the best fighter in the world and a flat-out killer in the ring, Angel Garcia isn’t buying it.

Terence Bud Crawford

The current father of the former two-division champion, Danny Garcia, knows Crawford like the back of his hand. In addition to watching his career play out, Angel observed Crawford in the amateurs. In the unpaid ranks, both Crawford and Angel’s son split a pair of meetings. Up until recently, the two campaigned in the same division.

At one point, it seemed likely that the pair would rekindle their rivalry in the pros, but with Crawford stating time and time again that he’s only interested in fighting Canelo Alvarez, Angel has moved on.

As for media pundits and fans who continue to praise Crawford with superlatives, Angel believes it’s well deserved. But, for those who are convinced that Crawford can simply waltz through anyone without breaking a sweat, Angel rolls his eyes incredulously as he vehemently disagrees.

“He ain’t no killer,” said Angel Garcia to AB Boxing News. “He can be beaten too.”

Canelo Alvarez’s undisputed triumph over Jermell Charlo on Saturday immediately put Canelo as the belle of the ball again and everyone wanted to dance with him, including Terence Crawford who would have to jump 3 weight classes to face the undisputed middleweight champion of the world.

Terence Crawford went to the Canelo vs. Charlo fight to witness firsthand how his would-be opponent moves, to study and even enjoy a show, after the match he was seemingly disappointed by Charlo’s performance and even made a series of tweets about it

Fighting Crawford is not the plan according to Canelo

Crawford mentioned that he was willing to do what it takes to fight Canelo, including jumping three divisions to have a legacy-defining fight against the undisputed champion, however, Canelo was quick to respond “I always say if a fight makes sense, why not? But he is not in the plan.”

Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez

At this point it is too early to determine who Canelo will fight next, as both Benavides and Bivol sound plausible, meanwhile, Bud Crawford is in negotiations to honor a rematch with Errol Spence Jr. on April.

Whatever his intentions are, Terence Crawford is closer to fighting Jermell Charlo than Canelo, as many pundits believe that it would also be good to see Crawford jump fewer weight classes to meet the so-called ‘lion’ and try to make him look like a “cub“.

At the end of the match, Canelo was proud of his accomplishments, “I love you guys. I love my family, my friends who come to support me. Thank you so much. I’m a strong fighter all the time. This Canelo, nobody can beat this Canelo. He’s a great fighter, he knows how to move in the ring. We worked on [going to the body.] For three months without my family, without everything. But I still love boxing. I love boxing so f***ing much. Boxing is my life. Boxing makes me the person I am today.”

The name of Terence Crawford, continues to sound as one of the possible rivals of the undisputed super middleweight champion, the Mexican Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and now that the American fighter launched a comment where he questioned the punching power of the Mexican.

Crawford became undisputed champion, after a spectacular demonstration over Errol Spence Jr., whom he knocked out forcefully last July 2023. And now, he talked about what a hypothetical fight between undisputed fighters would be like for him, assuring that he is not afraid of Canelo‘s punch.

“I can’t get in a ring thinking if this guy hits me he’s going to knock me out, or if he connects he’s going to break my rib. I wouldn’t even consider a fight if I think I can’t handle that level of punching, but (Canelo) isn’t Deontay Wilder or anything like that,” Crawford said in an interview with FightHub TV.

Terence Crawford

Is a fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford viable?

However, he considered that if the fight against the Mexican were to happen, it would be a great fight because both would be on equal terms, because auqnue currently there is a considerable difference in weight, their dimensions are similar.

Canelo is a big guy, but at the same time I believe in my skills…he’s a heavy guy, but he’s not a big guy. He’s 5’7″ and I’m 5’7″ too. That fight would be good,” he said.

Should a fight between the two fighters materialize, Crawford would have to move up at least 19 pounds, from 147 to 168 pounds, to challenge the undisputed super middleweight title held by the Mexican

Terence Crawford is nearing the end of his Hall-of-Fame career, and he believes he’s in a position to pursue megafights. That means saying no to some young and hungry guys looking to build their name with a win over the 36-year-old legend.

Crawford, who was recently stripped of his IBF welterweight title, was asked by a pool reporters if he would face Jaron Ennis, the man awarded the belt when Crawford didn’t face him in a mandatory bout.

“Listen, like I said. Jaron is in one place, and I’m in another. I’m looking for mega fights right now, and right now, that’s not a mega fight,” Crawford told a group of reporters Friday. “That’s my standpoint on it. I’m looking to fight guys like Canelo Alvarez. That’s pretty much it, man, and a rematch with Spence, and that’s it. That’s over with for me.”

Ennis is 31-0 with 28 KOs. However, he is only 26 years old, hasn’t quite broken into the top tier of fighters in the world, and is not among the top draws in the sport.

Terence Crawford

Crawford would be a heavy favorite over Ennis, but there isn’t much for the Omaha, Nebraska native to gain. Crawford is still undefeated and atop many pound-for-pound lists in boxing–including my most recent entry on the subject.

At this stage of his career, he has proven to be a champion and an all-time great. He is wise to chase fights that will continue to bring him generational wealth. Those kinds of fights include a fight with Canelo Alvarez or the rematch with Errol Spence at 154 pounds. Crawford scored a decisive TKO win over Spence in July.

The fight had a rematch clause that has been executed. However, the date for the second meeting hasn’t been finalized. A fight with Canelo would likely have to take place at 168 pounds, and it is probably the only bout within reason that Crawford would come in as the B-side at the negotiation table.

Even still, he’d stand to make a career-high payday for the fight, and he’d have a chance to possibly cement himself as the best fighter of his generation with a win. With those options on the table, it’s easy to see why he wouldn’t be interested in fighting Ennis.

Terence Crawford is absolutely enjoying the holidays! After hitting a KO with the best turkey he cooked for Thanksgiving, the current Unified Welterweight champion is now signing New Edition songs with Zab Judah and Shawn Porter.

Well, ahead of Christmas and his upcoming fight with Errol Spence Jr., with a karaoke performance, ‘Bud’ seems to be just in the mood he needs to be. And while the occasion of the performance remains unknown, one can confidently state that ‘Bud’ will make your day with this brief clip of him singing.

Did Terence Crawford just join a boy band with fellow boxers?

Terence Crawford will return in 2024 to face Errol Spence Jr. in their rematch. At this, while you may expect Crawford to spend most of his time inside the gym training, ‘Bud’ is actually having a blast enjoying holidays with his friends and family. Recently, he cooked a delicious turkey to celebrate Thanksgiving. And now, Crawford was spotted singing and vibing to New Editions’s If It Isn’t Love (1988).

In the brief clip that ESNEWS uploaded, Crawford is seen standing behind Zab Judah and Shawn Porter with a precious smile on his face. And while Judah is so passionate about his performance, Crawford is more than delighted to spend the time with those who care for him. However, be cautioned if you’re expecting the trio to be in sync with the background music.

Anyway, one must acknowledge Crawford’s love for music. Speaking of which, here is the time ‘Bud’ rapped Lil Wayne at the Spence Jr. weigh-in.

Crawford perfectly lip-synched to Lil Wayne’s Mr. Carter

The anticipation for Crawford vs. Spence Jr. was at its peak during the weigh-in. And since Crawford had earlier declared that he would catch the “big fish” that Errol claimed himself to be, boxing fans could not wait for the two to step inside the ring. At this, when Crawford was asked to appear on the stage and stand on the scales, he arrived vibing to Lil Wayne’s Mr. Carter.

Facing the camera and the crowd, the then-WBO-Welterweight champion of the world perfectly lip-synched to the mentioned song. Undoubtedly, the fans were delighted by the scene.

Anyway, what did you think of the group performance with Porter and Judah? And, what song would you like ‘Bud’ to perform next? Let us know in the comments below

In a highly anticipated clash, undefeated two-time super middleweight world champion David Benavidez, boasting a pristine record of 27-0 with 3 KOs, stepped into the ring against the equally undefeated Demetrius Andrade (32-0, 19 KOs). The showdown unfolded at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada as Andrade’s team had to stop the fight and Benavidez won by a TKO.y

While Benavidez put his heart and soul into training for the fight, being just a great fighter is not enough for him. What he aspires to be is someone who can entertain as well. In an interview with FightHype.com, he explained why it is important to him.

David Benavidez explains his priorities in a fight

In the interview, the interviewer asks David Benavidez about the balance between being an exciting fighter and a great one. Benavidez emphasized the importance of both. Putting himself in the shoes of a fan, he said “Me as a fan, I don’t wanna spend my money and see something I don’t like to see at the end of the day, these fights are expensive to the regular person” highlighting that as a fan himself, he wouldn’t want to spend money on a fight that’s not enjoyable.

He expresses the desire for fans to find value in purchasing his fights. When asked about the approach of fighters like Terence Crawford and Floyd Mayweather, who ease into the early rounds to assess their opponents, Benavidez reveals that he’s followed a similar strategy throughout his career, recognizing the significance of pacing in a 12-round bout. This insight into Benavidez’s mindset reflects his commitment to delivering not only great performances but also an engaging experience for the audience. What are Benavidez’s plans moving forward?

If not Canelo Alvarez, who is the ‘Mexican Monster’ eyeing next?

In the aftermath of his recent victory, Benavidez has thrown down the gauntlet, suggesting he could step up to a higher weight class for a showdown if Canelo Alvarez hesitates to face him. The combat sports community is abuzz with anticipation for a clash between the two boxing titans. Benavidez, eyeing a super middleweight bout against the undisputed champion Alvarez, voiced his eagerness during the post-fight press conference.

However, he also entertained the possibility of a leap to the light heavyweight division, setting the stage for a potential face-off with WBA champion Dmitry Bivol. The intrigue deepens as Benavidez explores multiple avenues for his next formidable challenge, leaving fans eager to see which path unfolds in this gripping narrative.

Much of a boxer’s career depends on how well the fans receive them. Pleasing the fans ensures a good bag after the fight. However, it becomes important to strike an equilibrium between putting up a good show and putting the win on the line. Benavidez plans to strike the right balance between the two. Who would you like to see the fighter brawl with next?

Terence Crawford has plenty of exciting opponents lined up for him. A rematch against Errol Spence Jr., a possible super-fight against Canelo Alvarez, and an opportunity to be a world champion in yet another division by potentially facing Jermell Charlo. In the past, ‘Bud,’ has been vocal about his interest to face ‘Saul,’ at a catch weight but Robert Garcia is not too keen on it.

America’s Favorite Video Today

According to him, a bout with ‘Saul,’ may not be a wise move. Moreover, he would like to see ‘Bud,’ face Jermell Charlo instead. Why does he say so?

Should Crawford face Charlo instead of Alvarez?

Charlo is a champion in only one weight class above the former undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford. Garcia thinks the Charlo-Crawford bout would be more fairly matched up. However, he thinks the interest in this potential fight might have abated after the Super-welterweight champion suffered a defeat against Canelo Alvarez.

While speaking to FightHubTV, he stated, “That would be the perfect fight. But Because of Charlo’s last performance, even Crawford said, I don’t even want to fight you. Just the way he fought against Canelo. Kind of does hurt a little. But he is a good sell fighter, it’s a big fight. I think that’s the fight Crawford should take and Charlo, he’s the champion so why wouldn’t he? That would be a great fight.”

Terence Crawford

The fight between Charlo and Crawford would definitely attract interest. But the legendary boxer does not shy from being brutal in his assessment of Charlo’s loss in his last fight.

Garcia gets brutally honest about Charlo’s last fight

Charlo lost his last bout via a unanimous decision against, ‘Saul,’ and also suffered a knockdown. Over a month later, Garcia revealed that he was disappointed by Charlo’s performance and did not shy away from making it evident. In the same interview, he stated, “He saw Canelo in front of him and probably felt a few punches, he decided to survive. I don’t blame him. But, we were not happy. I was a little disappointed.”

Charlo may have attracted criticism but he continues to be a notable boxer. Moreover, if a bout with Crawford does eventually take place, we are curious to know, what are your opinions on this match-up. Share with us in the comments below.

The trainer of former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. denies that weight issues were the cardinal problem in his client’s disastrous outing against Terence Crawford.

Spence, of Desoto, Texas, lost his three 147-pound belts to Omaha, Nebraska’s Crawford in July via stoppage in the ninth round of their welterweight undisputed championship at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

What many expected to be a competitive affair turned out to be a one-sided drubbing.

After the fight, there was intense speculation that Spence was diminished by his attempt to make the 147-pound limit; Spence, 33, has been a welterweight his entire career.

Spence himself suggested that making the welterweight limit had taken a toll on his body going into the Crawford fight and that he would look forward to participating in a rematch at the junior middleweight limit of 154 pounds.

Terence Crawford

But in a recent interview, Spence’s longtime coach, Derrick James, rejected the notion that the weight cut was the main culprit behind Spence’s disappointing performance. James seemed to indicate that Crawford, under the stewardship of his trainer Brian “Bomac” McIntyre, simply out-maneuvered Spence on that night.

“You’ll see him [in the rematch], he won’t be so drained he won’t be so depleted or whatever,” James told FightHubTV. “You know, that wasn’t the issue. Crawford fought a good fight. Crawford had a great game plan, right. So, you’re talking about this [Crawford’s] coach, he was the better guy that day.”

Although Spence activated his rematch clause with Crawford, it is not entirely clear when that fight will take place.

Asked about details regarding the status of the rematch, James demurred.

“I don’t know anything about it. Nothin’” James said.

“That part (weight class) I’m sure they already signed that or whatever,” James added. “But I don’t know anything about that either.”
