Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have heard it all in recent weeks with all the backlash over the Green Bay Packers’ safety and his version of the story about how he met the legendary gymnast.

But they’ve deflected all that on social media, ignoring all the haters and continuing to talk about what they love about each other.

Now, with Owens’ NFL season ending after the Green Bay Packers were eliminated from the playoffs, Biles has posted on Instagram with a simple message along with photos of the pair, perhaps a way of putting any “controversy” to rest if that exists:

Since Super Bowl 2024 is no longer in the cards for the Packers and Jonathan Owens, the safety could earn an Oscar in March for a seemingly worthy performance against the 49ers.

With the Packers leading 21-14 in the third quarter, Owens, Simone Biles’ husband, was on the field for kickoff coverage and wanted to take advantage of Trent Williams as he walked onto the field after Ray-Ray McCloud didn’t break free for a big 49ers return.

As Williams was making his way onto the field, he was jabbing at multiple Packers players, which led Owens to go over to Williams in an apparent move to try to bait Williams into a penalty.

Williams gave in, shoving Owens away as Owens took a dive onto the field that many mocked him for afterwards.

Thoughts and prayers to Jonathan Owens and his family after that brutal attack. I hope he can make a full recovery,” one X user wrote, pairing the post with a rolling eyes emoji.

Others tied wife Biles to the play.

“Jonathan Owens with a better flip than Simone Biles,”one reads.

“Simone biles needs to divorce Jonathan Owens for this nasty flop Lmao,” another user wrote.

The personal foul didn’t up having a great effect on the result of the game, which ended with the 49ers punching their ticket to the NFC Championship game in a 24-21 victory.

The foul backed up San Francisco to the 13-yard line and they went three-and-out on the possession.

Dre Greenlaw intercepted Packers quarterback Jordan Love on the following possession.

The 49ers later kicked a field goal and two possessions later Christian McCaffrey ran in for a 6-yard touchdown to earn the lead with 1:07 left in the game.

San Francisco will be in their third consecutive conference championship and hope to avenge last year’s loss to the Eagles that saw Brock Purdy exit with a UCL injury.

Jonathan Owens’ first season with the Green Bay Packers ended with a heartbreaking loss — and Simone Biles was there to support him every step of the way.

The Olympic gold medalist, 26, headed to California to watch the Packers safety, 28, and his team take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday.

The game ended the Packers and Owens’ season with a crushing fourth-quarter 49ers comeback and 21-24 loss, prompting Biles to share a sweet tribute to her husband.

On Sunday, Biles posted a video of her and Owens sharing a sideline smooch — a common occurrence during the NFL season — on her Instagram Story, alongside the caption: “What a season 💚.”

Prior to the Packers’ tough playoff loss, Biles shared several other Instagram Story posts of herself preparing for the game and cheering on Owens.

The gymnast started with a selfie, in which she posed bare-faced with a coffee in her hand. “GAME DAY,” she captioned the post, and decorated it with several football emojis.

After the selfie, Biles posted a video of her and Owens sharing a sideline kiss and hug last week, when the Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in a wild-card matchup.

“Good luck today baby 🤍. Go 34,” she wrote. “Let’s do the damn thing! I’m so proud of you.”

Following her words of encouragement for Owens, the Olympian revealed her last game-day look of the season, starting with a natural, glowy makeup glam.

She also repped her husband with a sparkling “J” initial necklace, and ditched her usual game-day attire — bulky puffers and vests that help her brave the Wisconsin cold — for skinny jeans, a “34” tank top in Green Bay colors and a cropped satin suit coat.

Clad in her green and gold attire, she also snapped several pics with other Packers partners, including Jon Runyan Jr.’s fiancée, Victoria Schultz, and AJ Dillon’s wife, Gabrielle Dillon.

Owens signed with the Packers last May, less than a month after he and Biles tied the knot on April 22, 2023, in Houston. (A few weeks after their legal wedding, they hosted a destination celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.)

The Olympic gymnast and the football player officially met for the first time three years prior, in March 2020, via the dating app Raya.

Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens was humiliated twice during the team’s NFC Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night at Levi’s Stadium as his wife Simone Biles watched from the stands.

Owens, 28, was first crushed by Niners tight end George Kittle on an incredible reception and yards after catch. That was just a football play, though. The real embarrassment came later.

Fans on social media had a field day with a clip of Owens flopping after 49ers tackle Trent Williams slightly pushed him.

Williams, 35, is a big man, but Owens clearly flopped after contact. Fans were especially angry due to his recent history with Biles.

Why do fans hate Jonathan Owens?

Simone Biles

Owens went viral last month when he appeared on a podcast alongside Biles and claimed she was the one to approach him via a dating app.

Biles, 26, never stopped suppoting her husband throughout the drama as fans said she deserved better. The Olympic gymnast will likely do the same this time around.

Owens flopping and getting man-handled by Kittle is more than enough to keep the hate going for a while longer, especially since Green Bay could not pull off the upset.

Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens is crediting his wife, legendary Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, with advice that has helped take his game to the next level this season.

Speaking to Tyler Dunne of GoLongTD.com, Owens divulged that Biles expressed her belief that he was playing too slowly and thinking too much on the field:

Speaking to Tyler Dunne of GoLongTD.com, Owens divulged that Biles expressed her belief that he was playing too slowly and thinking too much on the field:

“It messed me up because it’s like: ‘My lady is telling me this, so do I really need to…’ but she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to mental health. When she said that, it kind of hit me: ‘Man, I guess I am.'”

Owens went on to explain that after seeing a team psychologist to discuss what was holding him back, he has since been able to play without mental restrictions: “I’m playing free. I addressed stuff that I didn’t know I was struggling with. But [Biles] brought it to my attention. Once you do that mental work? Your mind is a powerful weapon.”

The 28-year-old Owens is in the midst of his fifth NFL season and his first with the Packers after spending his first four campaigns as a member of the Houston Texans.

An undrafted player out of Missouri Western State, Owens played sparingly his first three seasons before starting all 17 games at safety for the Texans last season and finishing with a career-high 125 tackles.

Owens did not begin his first season in Green Bay as a starter, but he was inserted into the starting lineup after Darnell Savage got injured, and he never looked back, starting the final 11 games of the regular season.

He finished the season with 84 tackles and one sack, and made some splash plays after becoming a starter, including forcing a fumble in a Week 9 win over the Los Angeles Rams and returning a fumble for a touchdown in a 29-22 upset of the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

Owens has played so solidly that he earned the start in the Packers’ NFC Wild Card Round playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend, recording four tackles.

It comes as little surprise that Biles was able to help Owens gain a mental edge, as she is arguably the best athlete in the history of gymnastics.

The 26-year-old member of the United States Olympic team has won seven Olympic medals during her career, including gold in the all-around and team events in 2016.

Biles entered the 2020 Olympics as the heavy favorite to repeat as all-around champion, but a case of “the twisties” caused her to pull out of the event and a few other events she was scheduled to take part in.

The twisties are something of a mental block that occurs when gymnasts lose control of what they’re doing with their bodies while in the air, which creates a potentially dangerous situation.

Biles was able to overcome the twisties and compete in the balance beam at the 2020 Summer Games, taking home a bronze medal.

She has also put herself in position to potentially earn a spot on the 2024 Olympic team, which speaks to Biles’ perseverance.

Owens has persevered in his own right this season, and he has helped put his team just two wins away from a Super Bowl berth.

On Saturday night, Owens and the Packers will look to keep their surprising playoff run going when they face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round.

American gymnast Simone Biles recently shared a note addressed to her husband Jonathan Owens on her social media page. The 27-year-old expressed her love for the NFL player by promising him that she will always be there for him.

Biles and Owens have become a fan-favorite couple ever since they started dating in 2020. They got married on May 6, 2023, in Mexico, in the presence of their friends and family. Biles and Owens are very active on social media, sharing their moments together.

Recently, the gymnast shared a loving note on her Instagram for the Green Bay Packer’s safety. Biles’ story read:

For the last few weeks, things have gone south for Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens after his confession about his initial days of dating Simone Biles. However, at the onset of the Green Bay Packers’ storming into the season finale on Sunday, January 7, the remembrance of the team’s safety looked more glittery. The December 19 premiered, ‘The Pivot’ podcast highlighted several nooks and crannies of Jonathan Owens’ personal life and his humble beginnings.

Meanwhile, the Podcast was fairly engaged with NFL hobnobs like Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder. All they wanted to know was the gradual transformation of the shoulders Green Bay Packers rely on. Jonathan Owens catered to them nicely.

Jonathan Owens opens up his youthhood persona

In the Pivot Podcast, Ryan ‘RC’ Clark, the former safety in Washington Commanders couldn’t hold his curiosity from the Green Bay Packers’ safety’s phantasmagoria. He threw his quest veiling in the shade of ‘starting in St. Louis and ending in Missouri Western’ wordings. Following this, Owens began reminiscing to reveal the truth. However, the extraordinary part came when he conceded: “I was  trying to get a scholarship, man because I knew my mom wasn’t going to be able to afford college so they gave me a full scholarship and I had Pell grants so I was able to get a little refund check.” That left the RC and his ilks in the room stunned.

The 28-year-old safety closed the chapter with RC’s question with an affirmative, “That was all I needed at the time you know so that was that’s how that happened”.

The quagmire settling with Jonathan Owens

In the same interview, Jonathan Owens acknowledged that his ‘flappings’ were awkward since his growing up days. The reason was simple as previously Owens divulged his childhood kenspeckle. “I was a late bloomer athletically. In high school, I was a good player on the team but I hadn’t I wasn’t like totally sure of myself yet” was his version. So the journey from that not-so-obvious childhood to get a scholarship in college was nothing short of a magic run, which has been quite the case in his Green Bay Packers’ stint.

So the ethereal sangfroid culminated in Jonathan Owens is from his mother and his humble beginnings . That part was also visible in the same vicinity that claimed uproar in the last weeks.

Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens and his wife, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, recently made an appearance on “The Pivot” podcast, where the NFL player admitted he didn’t like her at first and said she chased him.

Owens, 28, also said he didn’t know Biles was as famous or good as she is and realized it when a group of shaking girls asked him to take their picture with the GOAT of gymnastics. They met on a celebrity dating app.

“So literally, had been on the app for a couple of days, man, and it’s like she pops up and I’m like, ‘Let me see who this is’ … I had never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity,” Owens said. “I go do my workout and I come back and I have some likes on my Instagram. …

“‘Man, this gotta be fake. I didn’t know who she was at the time. But like, the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of followers. So in my mind I’m like, ‘OK, she’s got to be good.'”

Owens also said he was the “catch” and that she eventually made him feel better about committing to a woman in his third year in the league.

Simone Biles not shy about her approach

Biles, 26, gave her side of the story and was not shy about the way she approached him, saying it was love at first swipe.

“We matched. I was just the first to message. As soon as I clicked, ‘Ooh I like him.’ It matched. So he had already liked my profile. … I wasn’t scared,” said Biles. “I know what I like and I know what I want.”

The podcast’s hosts, former NFL stars Ryan ClarkFred Taylor and Channing Crowder, called out Owens about not wanting Biles at first, but it’s all water under the bridge now.

Owens and Biles are married and she is often seen cheering on him during his NFL games, including a win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Simone Biles is reflecting on a successful 2023 and looking forward to an exciting year ahead. The seven-time Olympic medalist recently won the gold medal in the women’s all-around final at the World Championships, marking her return to competition after a two-year break.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Biles expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to compete again: “It honestly feels amazing to return to competition, I never thought I would compete again so this is a blessing.”

Biles also shared her favorite moment from her recent competitions, saying, “My favorite moment has been competing alongside my WCC teammates.” She has been a strong supporter of her fellow gymnasts and has enjoyed the camaraderie of being part of a team.

Aside from her accomplishments on the gymnastics floor, Biles is also passionate about fashion. She has been working with athletic-wear company Athleta for over two years and finds their partnership incredibly meaningful.

Biles explained: “This campaign is so special because it focuses on me as a person and not just as an athlete. The campaign ethos is ‘No Time Like the Present’ which is so important to think about this time of year.”

Simone loves the Holiday season

The holiday season holds a special place in Biles’ heart, and she plans to spend it with her loved ones. She emphasized the importance of slowing down and being present during this time. “The holidays can be hectic but this is a reminder to slow down, be present and really take in this special time of year”, she says.

To prioritize her well-being during the busy season, Biles intends to practice self-compassion and ensure she gets enough rest. She also values the support of her family, friends, and her dogs, who bring her joy and lift her up.

Biles’ love for fashion is evident on her Instagram, where she often shares photos of her stylish outfits. Whether she’s braving the cold at Lambeau Field or enjoying a night out, Biles knows how to dress for the occasion.

The 7-time Olympic medalist has embraced a break with reunions, fun photoshoots, and laid-back time with furry friends. For Jonathan Owens, it has been wins and personal milestones during the persisting NFL season. With all falling in line, the duo welcomed the perfect arrival of Thanksgiving.

Simone Biles and the NFL star had a doting reunion after weeks over the month; as the gymnastics icon stood to cheer on Owens for his games. However, the day of Thanksgiving proved to be special of them all as the Green Bay Packers safety scored his first career touchdown further leading the team toward a win. On the arrival of perfect occasions and high in spirits, Biles shared a thankful post and the fans couldn’t stop gushing.

Simone Biles shares heartfelt post for husband

On the day of Thanksgiving, Biles took to her Instagram page to share her gratitude and love during the festival that stands for it. The gymnast put forth a post comprising clicks of the duo in a black-and-white format. Though the images did not blast through colors, the post certainly exuded the love and pride the two held. Thankful,” Simone wrote adding a turkey, plate, and maple to symbolize the festival.

The couple’s celebrations further entailed table-filled dinners and glass-clinks for the success. Owning their stellar backgrounds, the duo’s social media presence only elevated their admiration status among the fans as they chimed in to shower love.

The power couple receives love

Owens and Simone have achieved well and more in their careers to stand out amongst the rest. With Biles’ post, the fans only joined in to agree. “Power couple,” a user commented while another gathered to post, temperature rising in GB because of you two.” One of the comments also adored the couple for the bond they shared. It read, “The most beautiful couple. Happiness just radiating.” However, the spectators also made sure to recognize Owens’ efforts on the ground for the evening.

On the 23rd of November, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Lions 29-22 with Owens much to gain. The victory was welcomed not just by Simone but also by fans in the comments. He played a great game yesterday! Go Owen’s!” a comment read cheering the two on.
