The new season of LIV Golf is going to kick off soon! The players will be honing their swing techniques to have a great start to their season. And one of those players is Phil Mickelson. He is known for his incredible club skills and a long list of achievements. A part of his success goes to his knack for experimenting with his clubs.

In the past, the 53-year-old used to regularly try out new clubs, despite being sponsored by Callaway. With the two now going their separate ways, the LIV loyalist is expected to experiment more. Let’s look into his bag to find out what clubs he will be carrying this year!

What’s in Phil Mickelson’s golf bag?

While Callaway and Mickelson have parted ways, the 53-year-old is still using some clubs from them. Like his driver, which is a Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond Driver with a Fujikura Ventus TR Red 6 X shaft. He is one of the pros who enjoys a low loft of 8.5 degrees on their driver. This is because he carries a mini-driver with him.

Along with his driver, Lefty carries a TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6 X shaft. He uses an 11.5-degree lofted head on his mini-driver. Furthermore, the LIV player also carries two hybrids, specifically the Callaway Apex UW Hybrid and the Ping Anser Hybrid.

He has paired his hybrids with a Fujikura Ventus Red 9 X and a Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Prototype shaft, respectively. As for his irons, Phil Mickelson uses Callaway X Forged UT (22 degrees) and Callaway X Forged 2013 (6-9). All his irons are paired with KBS Tour-V 125 shafts.

While for his long shots, the American golfer prefers Callaway, he somewhat experiments with other brands for precision shots.

What wedges and putters does Mickelson use?

For his wedges, Mickelson uses Callaway Jaws Raw (50 degrees, 56 degrees) and Ping Eye2 XG (L) wedges. The shafts on all his wedges belong to KBS Tour-V. Interestingly, for his putter, the 53-year-old uses a custom-made one.

He uses Callaway’s Odyssey “Phil Mickelson” prototype putter with a SuperStroke Traxion WL 17 grip. He has coupled the rest of his clubs with Golf Pride MCC grips. Furthermore, he uses Callaway Chrome Soft X Triple Track golf balls.

It looks like the LIV loyalist is sticking with his previous brand at his clubs right now. It will be worth watching which brand he experiments with next.
