Having pulled an unlikely win out of the bag on the Day of Reckoning card, Agit Kabayel has now declared himself ‘ready’ for Anthony Joshua.

There was more than one upset on the event that ended the year in style back on December 23. While Joseph Parker’s shut out points victory over Deontay Wilder may be what is most talked about, a heavyweight bout lower on the bill proved just as surprising.

Kabayel was a huge underdog when stepping into the ring with Arslanbek Makhmudov in Riyadh. He boxed superbly well to quickly begin to break down the towering Russian and eventually stopped him in the fourth round.

The 31-year old’s performance stunned many onlookers and silenced any doubters about Kabayel’s ability, who now says it has put him in line for high-profile bouts, having also beaten the likes of Derek Chisora and Andrii Rudenko in his 24 fights without a loss.

He spoke to Pro Boxing Fans about a potential fight with Joshua.

He then praised Joshua and said he would take the fight no problem.

Should an ‘AJ’ fight be on the cards in the future, Kabayel will have to wait in line. Joshua has recently announced that he will face Francis Ngannou on March 8.

Tiger Woods was let stunned by his son’s trick shot, describing the effort as ‘f***ing nasty’.

Woods is regarded as arguably the greatest golfer of all time and that’s something that clearly runs in the family.

The 47-year-old will be playing alongside his son, Charlie, at this weekend’s PNC Championship.

Woods committed to the unique event in which golf stars team up with a family member, with he and his son set to face Justin Thomas and his father, Mike.

Taking in a practice round, Woods and Charlie were having some fun as Charlie took on a trick shot with his club facing backwards, a shot that he pulled off to the admiration of those around them.

Watching on, Woods could be heard saying: “We’re ending on that right there, that was nasty! F***ing nasty!”

The PNC Championship will take place in Orlando, Florida this weekend and will be played over 36 holes rather than the usual 72.

Charlie Woods

It will be Woods’ second tournament in a month after the golfing legend made his long-awaited return at the Hero World Challenge.

The American icon looked in good shape in his first tournament appearance since withdrawing from The Masters in April in order to have ankle surgery.

He finished on even par, with Scottie Scheffler winning the competition with a final score of -20.

The PNC Championship has come to an end with Bernhard Langer and son Jason Langer having the last laugh. The action-packed extravaganza that went on for two days was nothing but entertaining. Despite all the action and the Langer’s glorious three-peat with his son Jason, the duo whose presence echoed through the Ritz-Carlton corridors has been Tiger Woods and his son Charlie. With the event done and dusted, there’s one question that remains, though.

The 2023 PNC Championship can be called the unofficial PGA Tour showstopper of the year. This exhilarating experience ignites a frenzy among fans and players alike, ticking all the entertainment boxes. The event was also the second time Tiger Woods was in action after his Hero World Challenge comeback. And although the PNC Championship is more inclined towards embracing the family aspect, it also doesn’t ignore the money perspective. So, how much did Team Woods earn after they paired up yet again for the event?

Team Woods finished in T5 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club with a massive comeback on the final day, which included Jr. Woods’ incredible chip-in. With a priceless reaction from Tiger Woods, Charlie’s remarkable shot-making won the father-son duo a five-figure payout of $47,000. Considering Team Woods was tied with three other teams in T5 (all of whom finished 19 strokes below par), all the pairs will receive the $47K prize money, marking this moment as something unique in the history of the PNC Championship.

Apart from the popular duo, the champs, Bernhard and Jason Langer, will get a total prize money of $200,000. Whereas popular partners like Nelly Korda-Petr Korda and Justin Thomas-Mike Thomas will be receiving $42,750 each. Annika Sorenstam and Will McGee, whose tears stole the hearts of fans, will have to settle for $43,750. That being said, the PNC Championship is far bigger than its decent prize pool. The priceless moments players share with their families would likely be their biggest takeaways from this wondrous event. Well, at least

While Tiger ‘bonded’ with his son, Charlie focused on a crucial improvement area

Coming into the PNC Championship, Tiger Woods expressed his admiration for how much his son’s game had grown over the past year. For him, the event was an opportunity to play alongside Charlie, watching him take the golf community by storm. And that’s precisely what Jr Woods did. His chip-in was one of many astonishing shots the 14-year-old made, another one of which was his 321-yard drive. But what followed that drive – both he and Tiger missed their putts for an eagle attempt – is what left him disappointed, among other things. And he revealed the duo’s aspect that needs improving.

After the event, Charlie said, “I drove the ball really good today. Didn’t miss a fairway and still managed to shoot eight-under. We just suck at putting.” While he focused on the competitive side of the event, his father couldn’t help but reflect on the fun outing he had with Charlie, staying true to the point of the PNC Championship. Tiger said, “I just have a lot more fun doing it with him. We have so much fun at home practicing and playing games. It’s a special bonding that happens that not a lot of parents get a chance to have.”

Tiger Woods has never had a family outing quite like the PNC Championship on Sunday (NZ time), even in the rain. He was competing with his 14-year-old son, Charlie, and his 16-year-old daughter, Sam, on the bag as caddie for the first time.

The only thing missing were enough birdies.

“It couldn’t have been any more special for us,” Woods said after the first of two rounds at The Ritz-Carlton Club, where they beat the worst of the rain and fell behind 10 other teams.

Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron led the way with a 15-under 57, building a three-shot lead over the teams of Bernhard Langer, Vijay Singh, David Duval and Retief Goosen.

Woods and his son were at eight-under 64, leaning on Charlie’s booming drives even while having to move back a set of tees, with Woods delivering most of the approach shots and neither converting enough birdie chances.

“I drove the ball really good today,” Charlie said. “Didn’t miss a fairway and still managed to shoot eight-under. We just suck at putting.”

That caused Woods to close his eyes and grin. “That sums it up right there,” he said.

So much attention is on their similarities in their swings and other mannerisms, but the needle and the trash talking is not to be overlooked.

Charlie Woods

Charlie Woods piped a drive on the par-five fifth hole and waved it goodbye, as Justin Thomas could only watch and smile. The 14-year-old also hit a big drive on the 11th, some 65 yards short of the green, hit wedge to a few feet and turned and shrugged.

The PNC is restricted to 20 teams of major champions from any tour, or The Players Championship winners, and a family member. That’s what got Steve Stricker (three senior major victories this year) into the field for the first time. He played with his youngest daughter, Izzi, because Bobbi Maria had Epson Tour status this year.

They also had a 64 while Izzi played with her favourite tour player – Nelly Korda – and now gets Woods and son in the final round.

Kuchar, a Players Championship winner, has played with both his sons. Carson is leaning more toward tennis (Kuchar’s wife played at Georgia Tech) and Cameron is all about golf. He recently took a trip to Europe with the family, caddying for his father in the Dunhill Links Championship and the Andalucia Masters.

“It’s been a fun deal and his progression has just kind of been everywhere,” Kuchar said. “You watch the whole game get better, whether it’s off the tee, he has an advantage with length and irons are great. I think anybody that sees him with a wedge in his hand comes away impressed. He’s got a great short game.”

Singh and Duval are trying to win the PNC Championship for the second time. John Daly and his son, who plays at Arkansas, won it two years ago. They were four shots behind.

Sam Woods mainly plays soccer, and her debut as a caddie went smoothly. All players were in carts that had covers for the clubs when it rained. Woods said his daughter might come out to the backyard at home to watch them practise, but rarely gets to the golf course.

Her mother, Elin, watched from outside the ropes.

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles recently found a unique way to send wishes to her husband Jonathan Owens and his team Green Bay Packers ahead of their match against the Chicago Bears. The upcoming game is set to take place on January 7.

The Packers have been maintaining a winning streak in their last three matches. Therefore, their latest match against the Bears will be crucial to determine the continuity of their streak. Moreover, they last faced the Bears in September 2023, where they emerged as winners with a 38 – 20 score.

In a few hours, the teams are set to clash once again. Besides Green Bay Packers fans wishing for the best for their team, gymnast Simone Biles also joined the fandom. She found a unique way to wish good luck to her husband and his team.

In her X (formerly Twitter) post, Biles shared a post where candle emojis were placed interestingly. The candles were spread encircling ‘GREENBAY Packers” written in the middle.

Simone Biles has always been supremely supportive ahead of the Packers’ matches. On December 12, when the Packers faced the New York Giants, the gymnast shared an Instagram story of Jonathan Owens and captioned it,

Moreover, as the gymnast attended that game, she also shared images of the stadium on her Instagram story.

Simone Biles’ family is learning some dance moves!

The Olympic gold medalist, 26, posted a video on Saturday of husband Jonathan Owens teaching her father Ronald Biles and godfather, Uncle Paul, the “STL dance” he performed during a recent NFL game in a special bonding moment.

“This video is so wholesome 🤍” Simone wrote in the caption. “Jonathan teaching my dad & godfather the STL dance he did after his touchdown.”

In the Instagram Story clip, Owens, 28, stood inbetween his father-in-law and Simone’s godfather with his arms raised as he gave the pair a dancing lesson in the hallway.

“You got to dip with it though, here, go down with it,” Owens said. “… you got it, eh!” he added, looking at Simone’s father as the gymnast was heard laughing behind the camera.

The heartwarming video comes as the husband and wife reunited after spending days apart over the New Year. Simone attended a friend’s wedding on New Year’s Eve, while husband Owens remained in Wisconsin with his team, Green Bay Packers, for their game against the Minnesota Vikings.

However, her husband showed her plenty of love in his absence, with the athlete posting a photo of three giant bouquets sent to her by Owens amid their time away from each other on her Instagram Story on Friday.

In the snap, two bouquets of red and white roses and a bouquet of pink lilies and carnations arranged in a woven basket were displayed on an island in Biles’ kitchen.

“My husband >>>>,” she wrote in the caption, suggesting that Owens had given her the flowers. In the background, a photo of the couple sitting together was also seen hanging on the wall.

As well as fun family dance sessions, Uncle Paul also officiated her and Owens’ second wedding ceremony in Mexico in May. The pair got married on April 22, 2023, at a courthouse in Houston before they held their ceremony, which was attended by family and friends.

In May, Biles posted a video on her Instagram Story of her toasting Uncle Paul ahead of their nuptials as she and Owens departed for their destination wedding.

“Uncle Paul aka gonna be the best officiant y’all have ever seen,” Biles wrote in the caption at the time.

Biles has also previously spoken about the positive influence of her parents — Ronald and Nellie Biles — who adopted her at age 6, along with her younger sister Adria.

“Being separated from my biological mom, being placed in foster care before I officially got adopted by my grandparents, it just set me up for a better route at life,” she explained during an episode of her Facebook Watch series, Simone Vs. Herself.

In the world of gymnastics, names do not come much bigger than Simone Biles.

So for the USA athlete to single out Amari Drayton for credit over social media sensation Olivia Dunne, it would need to be something quite spectacular.

The four-time Olympic gold medallist knows what it takes to produce a special routine under pressure and Drayton delivered the goods when the Louisiana State University (LSU) freshman performed at the annual Gym 101.

At the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday, January 5, the LSU Gymnasts made a strong impression ahead of the 2024 season by showcasing 50 routines.

Drayton was only a last-minute replacement for one of her injured team-mates, but she stepped up to the plate in her first bars routine and finished with an impressive score of 9.925 – helping LSU beat Ohio State.

Taking to social media, Biles, 26, wrote on X: “That’s our girl, so proud of you amari.”

Simone Biles ignores Olivia Dunne

The excitement for the No. 3 LSU Tigers gymnastics team is usually generated whenever Olivia Dunne taking the mat.

Having graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and featuring in Forbes, Dunne is a global phenomenon already, with her mind-blowing tricks and flips always catching the eye.

But it was clear that during this particular close contest, the spotlight was focused on Drayton after her decisive routine and rightly so, with her coach Jay Clark praising her incredible display.

“We got to see a freshman do something spectacular,” he said, according to NOLA. “Amari came through for us. It was also a brand new vault she’d never done [scoring another 9.925] and she didn’t know she was going in until after beam and got a 9.925.

Speaking about her performance, Drayton stated that she was happy to have been given the chance to compete, saying: “It didn’t feel real. I was just really happy I got to compete out there.”

The LSU gymnasts will be back on the mat for the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad meet in West Valley City, Utah.

Simone Biles is feeling the love from husband Jonathan Owens!

The Olympic gold medalist, 26, posted a photo of three huge bouquets of flowers she received from Owens, 28, in a romantic gesture on Friday.

In the Instagram Story snap, two bouquets of red and white roses and a bouquet of pink lilies and carnations arranged in a woven basket were seen perched on an island in what appeared to be Biles’ kitchen.

“My husband >>>>,” she wrote in the caption, dropping a very heavy hint that the flowers had been a gift from Owens. A photo of the couple sitting together was also displayed on the wall behind the flowers.

Owens reposted the photo on his Instagram Story, adding several love heart emojis in response.

His flowers for Biles come as the pair spent some time apart so far over the New Year.

Simone Biles

Owens had a game with his team Green Bay Packers against the Minnesota Vikings in Wisconsin on Sunday, which meant that Biles — who spent New Year’s Eve at a friend’s wedding — could not attend. She previously watched several of her husband’s games in November and December.

The Olympic gymnast shared earlier this week that she ended up missing the midnight countdown after falling asleep.

On her Instagram story, Biles reposted a photo of her snapped by friend Kayla Simone, during her midnight nap. “Not this b—-h inviting me to fly cross country for a NYE wedding only for her to be asleep before 10:30,” Simone captioned her photo.

“I am soooooo sorry,” Biles wrote in response.

Biles and Owens got married on April 22 at a courthouse in Houston. The pair later threw a lavish wedding ceremony in Mexico.

Last month, Owens received backlash from fans after speaking about how he met Biles on The Pivot podcast.

The Green Bay Packers player explained that Biles reached out to him first on a dating app, which led to the pair “texting back and forth,” and that he did not know who she was at the time they began speaking.

Owens added that he believes he is the “catch” in their relationship. “I always say that the men are the catch,” he said on the podcast.

Days later, Biles appeared to respond to the backlash after the interview as she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), to followers, “Are y’all done yet?” in a caption.

A recent interview with Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles sparked a lot of backlash among gymnastics fans. After certain statements by both the Green Bay Packers safety and the decorated gymnast didn’t go down well, fans have been speaking up about the same.

However, the couple seems unfazed by the attention, living their merry life. In a recent Instagram story, Biles even went on to declare her love for Owens after his sweet gesture melted her heart.

A few weeks ago, Owens and Biles appeared on The Pivot Podcast, where they spoke about the NFL icon’s journey, his growth, and the couple’s love for each other. However, things went downhill with the fandom when Owens claimed that he was the ‘catch’ in their relationship, and Biles believed that at some point, she’d be known as Owens’ wife.

simone biles

And while fans raised eyebrows at these statements, the couple was indifferent to the backlash. With social media posts slamming people and their comments, the star gymnast even tried quietening the buzz around the incident with memes. And now, a sweet gesture from Owens has made it to her public feed.

The NFL safety has often earned brownie points for showering his bride with gifts. Be it luxury handbags, trinkets, or simply grand floral arrangements, Owens knows the way to the Olympic hero’s heart. Recently, he sent his wife bouquets of different kinds, all arranged beautifully in glass vases. And Biles approved of this. The caption accompanying the picture read:

Despite the remarks, criticism, and outrage, it’s not a secret that the couple has always had each other’s backs. And throughout the years, their love for each other has arguably never seen a dull day.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have always set couple goals for fans

Harboring a household with two sportspersons, Biles and Owens almost always work as a team. Both experts in their respective fields, the NFL star, and the gymnastics hero, have gathered compliments from their individual sports and fans. After getting together, they became each other’s biggest support systems.

Biles made it a point to attend almost every single match that Owens played, wearing quirky attire featuring his jersey number and name, to cheer for him. Similarly, when the gymnast went through her rough patch during the Tokyo Olympics, Owens stuck by her through thick and thin. Although drowning in outrage, for now, it’s no secret that the couple gels well with one another and makes a great pair.

Does love grow stronger with distance? One might answer in the affirmative after witnessing the affection between Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens. 2023 started with the culmination of their relationship in tying the knot. However, both of them, being on top of their professional careers, did not have the luxury of being in each other’s company all the time. Surprisingly, that never took a bitter turn. Rather, it seemed to have strengthened the bond further. And it is not without reason.

Even when the two are away from each other, one always has the language to express love for the other. And Owens, like a true lover, knows the language that casts a spell the most on his Lady Love. After spending their first New Year as a married couple in the distance, the fragrance of that language must have once again impressed the gymnastics GOAT.

NFL star casts a flowery spell on Simone Biles

Owens is always on his toes to surprise Simone Biles with one of her favorite things, flowers. Be it her performance or his NFL match, he never fails to send flowers to his lady love. However, this time the reason is different. Owens is not with the love of his life on a special occasion like New Year’s due to prior commitments with the NFL season at the peak, but he knew how to make up for it and succeeded as well.
