Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou will earn eye-watering money for their fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on March 8.

The British heavyweight was to face Deontay Wilder, but that arrangement collapsed after Joseph Parker defeated the American just before Christmas.

Joshua will now face Ngannou, who almost claimed a shock win over Tyson Fury.

According to Sports Business Journal, Joshua will take home around £31 million from his clash with the former UFC star.

Ngannou would receive around half that amount at £16 million, which is double the amount that he made from his closely fought defeat to Fury last October.

The signs remain positive that Tiger Woods comeback is all going to plan as he’s set to play his next competitive round when the PNC Championship gets underway on Saturday. Playing in Friday’s Pro-Am, the 15-time major winner opted to walk rather than take a cart as he’d done last year.

“Well, I felt like I was physically fit to do it” Woods said when asked about the decision post-round, “and also, walking is always better for my back. I just wanted to keep it loose and keep it going, and we’re just having so much fun, it doesn’t really matter. We had a good time doing it.”

Woods is once again set to join son Charlie for the event which features selected Major champions playing with a family member in a paired format.

“Yeah, it’s a blast for us to be back out here, playing and competing and just enjoying this atmosphere,” Tiger said. “It’s been a blast, and hopefully we get through the next day or so without any delays, and hopefully we’re able to post something good.”

Charlie Woods

Woods was noticeably and expectedly rusty when he made his return to competition at the Hero World Challenge a fortnight ago, particularly with his short game, and he feels better equipped to handle the delicate shots with another two weeks under his belt.

“Yeah, it’s better,” he explained. “Today was definitely a bit better. I felt like I made some — I was able to knock a lot of the rust off there at Hero and felt — my hands felt better with control hitting shots, and especially today with the wind blowing as hard as it was, I was able to hit flighted shots nicely, which was not quite on par or as sharp as I was, as I wanted to be at Hero.”

Charlie’s progression, as usual, will be one of the most closely followed stories this week, and Tiger has revealed just how much his son has grown physically over the past 12 months.

“He’s still growing,” he replied when asked about Charlie’s physical condition having been hampered by an injured ankle himself last year. “You can see how much he’s grown from last year. It’s amazing how much he has grown, has changed, and it’s a moving target with him, right. He’s grown somewhere near four inches this year, so his swing has changed, it’s evolved, clubs have evolved.

“And we kept trying to adjust things, and it’s been a lot of fun. But it’s also challenging for him because each and every couple weeks, things change. He just has — he’s growing so fast.”

Woods also revealed that, despite Charlie moving back a tee – he’ll play the course from the same tees as Jim Furyk, John Daly and Vijay Singh, among others – they’ll still enjoy a length advantage because Charlie is outdriving his dad at home.

“He’s one tee further back, so I guess he’s tee No. 2. He’s just one tee ahead of me, which is fine because he’s hitting it past me now,” he smiled. “So we still have an advantage out there, but we both have to hit shots well at the same time.”

Tiger has been a regular caddie for his son at Junior tournaments and, though he tries to take a back seat a lot of the time, admits that it does help to be able to give his perspective on a specific shot, not that Charlie always listens.

“I enjoyed caddying for him and being there with him, just to talk through shots with him and have him understand what I would see or how — the thought process I would have going through shots. He would bounce things off of me, and give him my take on certain things.

“And sometimes he doesn’t see it the way I saw it, which is fun, but I think it’s the understanding of how to hit the proper shot at the proper time. And that’s what all kids have to learn is when do I hit a certain shot at the right time, or how do I take stuff off a shot, how do I hit it a little bit harder, what do I need to do.

“You can do that at home all you want, but under tournament conditions, it’s just so different. And being able to share that with him, share my experiences with him in game-time mode, I think that it was great for both of us because I think we both are able to learn from it and grow from it. I think I learned to be a better teacher with it, and I think that he became a better player because of it.”

The pair competed in a practice round on Friday and were full of laughs ahead of the first round of the PNC Championship

Tiger Woods revealed the one thing Charlie does that gets on his nerves as the two enjoyed a light-hearted Pro-Am round ahead of the PNC Championship.

Woods is continuing to step up his recovery following his ankle surgery earlier in the year. The 15-time Major champion played last month at the Hero World Challenge and will now tee it up this weekend alongside his son for the fourth successive year.

On Friday, the two took to the course at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club as they prepared for Saturday’s first round, with social media capturing every moment. Woods was videoed hitting driver off the fairway, much to the dismay of his son, as the the 47-year-old continued to show signs of an improved physical condition following his latest spell out.
Charlie, meanwhile, continued to stir up nostalgic memories of his father with his aggressive recoil off the tee as well as walking in a birdie on the 17th in a manner synonymous with Woods Sr.

After the round, Woods faced questions from the media, revealing the one habit off the course that irks him the most about his 14-year-old son.

“I just don’t like the fact that he stares at his phone all the time,” Tiger revealed. “Put your phone away and just look around. That’s one of the things that I think all parents struggle with is most kids don’t look up anymore.

“Everyone is looking down. Look around you, the world is so beautiful around you, just look up. But everyone is staring into a screen, and that’s how people view life. It drives me nuts at times because he’s always looking down and there’s so many things around you that are so beautiful at the same time.”

And speaking separately to Golf Channel, the 82-time PGA Tour winner provided a further update on his physical condition as he looks to compete in his second tournament in as many months after a seven-month layoff.

“It’s better. Today was definitely a bit better. I felt like I was able to knock a lot of the rust off there at Hero [World Challenge] and my hands felt better with control hitting shots,” he added.

“Especially today with the wind blowing as hard as it was, I was able to hit flighted shots nicely, which was not quite on par or as sharp as I was, as I wanted to be at Hero.”

The first round of the PNC Championship has been brought forward and made into a two-tee start due to bad weather being forecast for Saturday, with Team Wood set to get underway at 8:22am

Amari Drayton, a freshman at LSU Gymnastics, recently stunned in her debut against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday night. Her amazing performance landed her an SEC award, and Jordan Chiles and Joscelyn Roberson were quick to congratulate the youngster.

Drayton, who hails from Texas, the hometown of Olympic and World Champion Simone Biles, was competing on the vault and the floor for the first time, donning the LSU Tigers’ purple and gold leotard.

The gymnast proved that she was a force to be reckoned with early in the meet when she landed her Yurchenko one-and-a-half on the vault. Her impeccable performance scored her a 9.925, helping her clinch silver in the event, behind teammate and senior Haleigh Bryant.

After the vault, Amari Drayton moved on to the floor, where she once again scored a 9.925, getting in on a share of the second place, and helping the Tigers to her victory.

Recognizing Drayton for her performance, she was awarded the SEC’s Co-Freshman of the Week, alongside fellow gymnast Lily Smith from Georgia.

Taking to her Instagram stories to congratulate the LSU freshman, Jordan Chiles wrote,

Joscelyn Roberson also took to her Instagram to wish Drayton, writing

Apart from the three big gymnastics entities who were left wowed by Drayton, LSU Gymnastics head coach Jay Clarke was also impressed.

Drayton, who was only a last-minute replacement for an injured teammate, was “spectacular” according to Clarke.

Amari Drayton and the LSU Gymnastics team will next be in action on January 13th. The Tigers, who are currently 5th on the Road to Nationals rankings, will take on UCLA, Utah, and Oklahoma, at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. The meet will take place at the Maverik Center in West Valley, Utah.

Simone Biles‘ sister-in-law Sammi Biles recently shared a somber update with her followers. In a heartbreaking update, Sammi Biles revealed that she suffered her third miscarriage in four years and had to bid an emotional farewell to another unborn child. This comes after Sammi revealed in June last year that she lost her second unborn baby in 2022 who suffered from several complications.

On January 9, 2024, Sammi Biles posted a reel on Instagram that began with a glimpse of an email congratulating her on being pregnant again. The caption read, What I think Heaven will sound like…” with a background track in which a child is heard saying, Mommy”. However, as the reel transitioned, a tragic update came to the fore. The video showed Sammi sobbing, and the caption read, “3 of Ronni’s siblings gone too soon,” adding three angel emojis and a broken heart emoticon.

In the post, she wrote about her ordeal while expressing her sadness and anger, “not the way anyone wants to start off their “new year”
but here we are. from the biggest Christmas surprise blessing to now being a mom of reoccurring pregnancy loss with three angel babies in Heaven. how is this my life?”

She further shared that to get pregnant again and to give Ronni’s siblings the road ahead would likely involve the arduous journey of IVF once again. The post further read, “I grieve not only them but grieving the fact that in order to try to have a sibling earthside for ronni we will have to go through IVF…again. and even that is not guaranteed. IVF is treacherous. it’s battle. it’s war. it’s expensive. it tests your marriage. it’s time consuming. it’s meticulous. it tests your sanity.”

Struggling with feelings of numbness, anger, and sadness, she found herself grappling with the harsh reality of infertility, the toll of four consecutive years of pregnancy, and her third miscarriage. Sammi Biles expressed, “my body needs a break. 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 consecutive years being pregnant and 1 earth-side baby to show for it has taken its toll. i don’t understand why something is given only to be taken away? but God does and I have to trust His plan for us and our family.”

Sammi and her husband Ron Biles Jr, Simone’s brother, have faced testing times with the couple having to go through the loss of three unborn children in the last four years. Not only that, their only child had a health scare of her own a few months away from her first birthday.

Previous pregnancy losses compound this untimely demise

Back in June 2023, nearly seven months after Ronni Biles was born, Sammi Biles revealed that “Ronni would have had a little sister.” She also attached a note where she bravely opened up about the heartbreak of experiencing a second miscarriage. Prior to that loss, Ron had also recounted that Sammi’s first miscarriage occurred after more than nine weeks of pregnancy.

Though the couple have found happiness in their baby daughter Ronni Biles, they were left worried after their only child had a major health scare months before she turned one. In July last year, Sammi Biles shared a photo of a T-shirt stained with blood marks on Instagram along with a caption that read, “on today’s episode of what happened in our household: the scary af sh*t no one prepares you for as a mom your child running a low-grade fever last night and this morning then throws up blood. thank God she’s ok and we have gotten her checked out.” Little Ronni has had her struggles on her road to turning one, having to overcome COVID and Norovirus and dealing with respiratory syncytial virus RSV.

Despite the painful reality and having to go through another tragic loss, she remained grateful for the community of women who have stood by her in solidarity, as she recovers from her recent loss. We offer our condolences to Sammi Biles and her family.

Simone Biles stands as one of the most highly anticipated names for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Three years ago, Biles exited the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, stating a lack of mental readiness to compete. This was due to the “Twisties” she experienced, which can be described as a mid-air vertigo-like phenomenon while attempting a daring move on the vault.

After an impressive comeback in 2023, the excitement to witness the gymnastics queen of the sport reclaim the pinnacle stage has fans eagerly awaiting her performance. But along with the eagerness to see Simone Biles, speculation emerged months before the games that she could revive the very move that took her out of competition back in 2021.

Simone Biles attempts the move that took her out of the 2021 Olympics

As reported by Gymnastics Now in December 2023, Simone Biles surprised everyone by posting eight new training videos on her Instagram stories months before the highly anticipated Paris Olympics in 2024. While the fact that she was already in training excited fans, what stood out was Biles flawlessly executing the Amanar, a move she hadn’t performed since the 2021 Olympics. In gymnastics, the Amanar on vault is when a gymnast does a backward handspring off the vaulting table, flips their body in a straight position, and twists two-and-a-half times before landing.

How did the Amanar vault challenge the gymnastics queen?

Flashback to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles had planned to perform the Amanar vault. However, while in midair, she lost her bearings and completed only one-and-a-half twists, leading to a less-than-ideal landing. Following this, she opened up about having the “Twisties.” Biles eventually withdrew from the event, leaving the United States without their highest-scoring gymnast and creating an opportunity for the Russian team to secure the gold medal, which they ultimately did.

But now it looks like the Paris Olympics might become the stage where Biles might finally redeem herself and perform one of the most difficult moves in the sport. She already aced the Yurchenko Double Pike Vault at the 2023 World Championships, christened “Biles II” in the FIG’s Code of Points, so the question arises: will she reintroduce the Amanar, also known as the Yurchenko 2.5, in 2024? Or could we witness an entirely new move, possibly the much-anticipated “Biles III”?

This speculation also gained attention when she teased her fans by performing a Yurchenko full-twisting double back, also known as a full-in, making it clear that she’s not slowing down. Time holds the answers, but we’re curious to hear your thoughts. So, what do you think?

Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens are a sporting power couple, but the competitiveness that comes with being an athlete often spills over into their relationship. In one such incident a couple of years ago, Biles challenged her then-boyfriend to a rope climbing race.

The gymnast started dating Owens in March of 2020. The duo went public a couple of months later and have since given fans plenty of insights into their relationship.

In June of 2021, when Simone Biles was getting ready to compete in the Tokyo Olympics, she released a Facebook Watch special, titled “Simone vs Herself.” It gave fans a look into the American’s life on and off the mat.

It was in the third episode of the seven-part series that Biles challenged her beau to see who could climb a rope faster. In the clip, the two can be heard deciding the stakes for the race, as they eventually settle on the loser shelling out $50 to the winner.

As the race begins, Owens starts out leading, but the gymnast soon catches up with him and reaches the top in a mere 10 seconds, with her husband still a few feet below her.

The clip shows the NFL player defending his loss saying, “Well, I had you about 3/ 4th of the way, then I just burnt out.” Biles giggled in response.

Here is a video of the battle between the two:

It is NFL season and one of the happiest people right now is the gymnastics queen Simone Biles. She is not just an incredible gymnast, but also an extremely supportive wife. She has been standing like a rock and cheering the loudest for her NFL husband, Jonathan Owens. Be it a touchdown or some record of Owens, Biles celebrates it all. This time is no different, when yet again Owens and his team, the Green Bay Packers, have achieved a tremendous NFL victory.

The Green Bay Packers have clinched the playoffs, and no one is happier than Simone Biles right now. She has filled her social media with proud updates for her husband and has called out Dallas with a challenging message. With this, the gymnastics GOAT has yet again turned heads by showcasing fierce support for his husband and his team.

Simone Biles is brimming with pride for Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles has once again taken to her Instagram stories to share a bunch of proud updates with her 7.1 million social media family. Jonathan Owens’ team has clinched playoffs by knocking off one of their toughest competitions, the Chicago Bears and Biles cannot keep calm. She showcasing her pride has shared three updates for the same.

One of the updates among these that grabbed the most attention was Biles’ message for the Dallas Cowboys. With a surprise game coming next weekend between the Packers and Cowboys, Biles has already challenged them. She re-shared a Packers’ post and stated, “We are coming for you Dallas”

The gymnastics icon before this shared a picture of Owens in a white shirt and wrote, “Go 34” with white hearts beside it. She further added, “GPG”, which states Go Packers Go. Moving further, she shared a post from the Packer’s social media page which stated that the team had gone into the playoffs. Here Biles showcasing her excitement expressed, “OMG LETS F***IN GOOOO”, with white hearts beside it. She further added, “GO 34”, hyping up his husband.

Jonathan Owens and the team’s tremendous NFL feat

On the 7th of January 2024, the Green Bay Packers made all their fans and Simone Biles jump up in excitement as they walked into the playoffs. They held their ground gracefully and defeated their archrivals, the Chicago Bears. The scoreboard carried 17-9 and the Lambeau Field was roaring with cheers for the Packers.

The Packers have won their 10th straight game against the Bears, which brings the longest winning streak to tie of this rivalry that has been going on for 100 years. The team score of Green Bay improved to 9-8 and with this triumph, they will head towards Dallas for a wildcard match next weekend.

Legendary gymnast Simone Biles couldn’t control from amping up her husband as the Green Bay Packers reached the NFL playoffs.

The Packers clinched a 17-9 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Packers’ dominance over the Bears marked their 10th consecutive victory over them. The Packers have earned their spot in the playoffs.

Biles, who is frequently seen making appearances at the NFL clashes to support her husband, took to social

Biles and Owens got engaged on February 15, 2022. The couple exchanged their vows on April 22, 2023. Only a few days after their marriage, Owens signed a new deal with the Green Bay Packers and had to move to Wisconsin.

Since then, the couple has entered into a long-distance relationship. But the distance hasn’t stopped the two from supporting each other. From Biles attending the NFL clashes to Owens showing his support towards the 26-year-old gymnast who returned after a two-year hiatus, they have strengthened their relationship.

“I went to their NFL workout and I crushed it,” Simone Biles reacts to the better athlete between her and her husband Jonathan Owens

media and shared a picture, penning an enthusiastic message.

The American favorite gymnast Simone Biles recently disclosed that she and her husband Jonathan Owens, an NFL strong safety for the Green Bay Packers, regularly discuss the challenges of gymnastics and the NFL as sports.

Biles made an appearance as a guest on Peacock’s 2023 Back That Year Up, hosted by Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart.

When Thompson amusingly questioned Biles who was the better athlete between the two, the 26-year-old gymnast stated that she and her husband frequently engage in a friendly argument over the question of which sport is more grueling.

“For athletes, the Olympics are the ultimate test of their worth,” once shared Mary Lou Retton, the first American woman to win the all-around gold medal in Olympic gymnastics at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Her statement stands true, as the Olympic stage is considered the pinnacle of the sports world. And on this stage, with seven Olympic medals, Simone Biles is considered the queen of gymnastics.

Despite three years passing since the last Olympics in Tokyo, where many believed it might have been Biles’ final appearance on the gymnastics floor, her unexpected comeback in 2023 has stirred anticipation. And now one question remains: Is Simone Biles competing in the Paris Olympics in 2024?

Simone Biles reveals her plans for Paris Olympics in 2024

During the 2023 “Back That Year Up With Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson” streaming on Peacock, Simone Biles candidly revealed her plans for Paris 2024. When Kenan Thompson inquired, “Will we see you in Paris?” The gymnastics phenom replied, “That’s the end goal. And I’ll be there regardless of if I’m on the floor or if I’m in the stands. I hope I’m on the floor.” And this is not the only time Biles has shared her plans for Paris 2024.

On December 18, 2023, Simone Biles opened up in the Incredible Women essay of 2023 for Porter, sharing, “Although I freak out a little at the beginning of every Olympic cycle, I’ll have to remind myself that I’m fine when the clock hits 2024”. Furthermore, in September 2023, Biles conveyed on the Today Show that competing in Paris “is the path that I would love to go.” While Simone Biles has not once but several times shared her massive interest in competing at the Olympic stage, what does 2024 present for Biles?

What does 2024 hold for the queen?

After a stellar 2023 season, Simone Biles became the most decorated gymnast in history, with a total of 30 medals, including 23 gold medals and six all-around titles. However, there are still accolades within reach for Biles in 2024, such as an individual beam Olympic gold. At the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she came close and clinched bronze; however, the gold on the apparatus eluded the star, which she could aim for at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Additionally, she has the chance to earn an eighth Olympic medal and potentially more on the grand Olympic stage. Moreover, Biles may also compete in the World Championships in October 2024 to clinch the title again and even have another chance to redeem herself in the vault finals. As 2024 promises to be a massive year in sports, fans await with bated breath as she fights to secure her place at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
