Since Super Bowl 2024 is no longer in the cards for the Packers and Jonathan Owens, the safety could earn an Oscar in March for a seemingly worthy performance against the 49ers.

With the Packers leading 21-14 in the third quarter, Owens, Simone Biles’ husband, was on the field for kickoff coverage and wanted to take advantage of Trent Williams as he walked onto the field after Ray-Ray McCloud didn’t break free for a big 49ers return.

As Williams was making his way onto the field, he was jabbing at multiple Packers players, which led Owens to go over to Williams in an apparent move to try to bait Williams into a penalty.

Williams gave in, shoving Owens away as Owens took a dive onto the field that many mocked him for afterwards.

Thoughts and prayers to Jonathan Owens and his family after that brutal attack. I hope he can make a full recovery,” one X user wrote, pairing the post with a rolling eyes emoji.

Others tied wife Biles to the play.

“Jonathan Owens with a better flip than Simone Biles,”one reads.

“Simone biles needs to divorce Jonathan Owens for this nasty flop Lmao,” another user wrote.

The personal foul didn’t up having a great effect on the result of the game, which ended with the 49ers punching their ticket to the NFC Championship game in a 24-21 victory.

The foul backed up San Francisco to the 13-yard line and they went three-and-out on the possession.

Dre Greenlaw intercepted Packers quarterback Jordan Love on the following possession.

The 49ers later kicked a field goal and two possessions later Christian McCaffrey ran in for a 6-yard touchdown to earn the lead with 1:07 left in the game.

San Francisco will be in their third consecutive conference championship and hope to avenge last year’s loss to the Eagles that saw Brock Purdy exit with a UCL injury.

Jonathan Owens’ first season with the Green Bay Packers ended with a heartbreaking loss — and Simone Biles was there to support him every step of the way.

The Olympic gold medalist, 26, headed to California to watch the Packers safety, 28, and his team take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday.

The game ended the Packers and Owens’ season with a crushing fourth-quarter 49ers comeback and 21-24 loss, prompting Biles to share a sweet tribute to her husband.

On Sunday, Biles posted a video of her and Owens sharing a sideline smooch — a common occurrence during the NFL season — on her Instagram Story, alongside the caption: “What a season 💚.”

Prior to the Packers’ tough playoff loss, Biles shared several other Instagram Story posts of herself preparing for the game and cheering on Owens.

The gymnast started with a selfie, in which she posed bare-faced with a coffee in her hand. “GAME DAY,” she captioned the post, and decorated it with several football emojis.

After the selfie, Biles posted a video of her and Owens sharing a sideline kiss and hug last week, when the Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in a wild-card matchup.

“Good luck today baby 🤍. Go 34,” she wrote. “Let’s do the damn thing! I’m so proud of you.”

Following her words of encouragement for Owens, the Olympian revealed her last game-day look of the season, starting with a natural, glowy makeup glam.

She also repped her husband with a sparkling “J” initial necklace, and ditched her usual game-day attire — bulky puffers and vests that help her brave the Wisconsin cold — for skinny jeans, a “34” tank top in Green Bay colors and a cropped satin suit coat.

Clad in her green and gold attire, she also snapped several pics with other Packers partners, including Jon Runyan Jr.’s fiancée, Victoria Schultz, and AJ Dillon’s wife, Gabrielle Dillon.

Owens signed with the Packers last May, less than a month after he and Biles tied the knot on April 22, 2023, in Houston. (A few weeks after their legal wedding, they hosted a destination celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.)

The Olympic gymnast and the football player officially met for the first time three years prior, in March 2020, via the dating app Raya.

After his professional debut in September last year, Curmel Moton certainly caught the attention of the boxing world. Although he has had only two fights in professional boxing, Moton has made several people believe in his abilities. And provided he won two of his bouts in spectacular fashions, fans wish to see him return soon to the ring.

On the other hand, Moton is confident and believes he will soon win a world title in the sport. In this connection, Moton decided to celebrate his journey so far in pro boxing on social media with a post. Undoubtedly, several fans hyped him up.

Curmel Moton celebrates his 2-0 record with fans

Just a few days ago, Curmel Moton declared he would soon announce his next fight and date. In this context, the 17-year-old also uploaded a brief clip of working out with a heavy bag. Anyway, although Moton did not reveal much about his next event, boxing fans expect he will likely fight on the undercard of Jaime Munguia vs. John Ryder. In this connection, as Moton recently celebrated his 2-0 pro record in yet another post, fans branded him the future of boxing. “Went to trial back to back b**ch I’m 2-0,” wrote Moton on Instagram.

In addition to a few training pictures, Moton also uploaded a clip of Devin Haney. In the clip, Haney is heard speaking to a woman. “Yeah, I’m legal. Do you like them young?” said Haney.

Anyway, in a reply to Moton’s post, one fan stated, “The future of boxing“.

Similarly, one wrote, “My compliments, you are definitely the future of this sport“.

Meanwhile, one expected him to be undefeated with 100 professional wins. “U gone be a 100-0 u the truth kid,” they said.

On the other hand, one wrote, “Congratulations youngen keep laying them bricks 1000“.

Finally, one exaggerated by expecting Moton to fight Devin Haney this year. “Curmel vs Haney 2024,” they added.

To be honest, although Moton shows the potential to achieve several victories in the sport, he has yet to be tested in fire. Only after we have seen him perform against the more mature and conditioned fighters, can we expect him to make a memorable contribution to boxing. As of now, given only two fights, it is unreasonable and hyperbolic to say he will remain undefeated with 100 fights.

Revisiting Moton’s two pro wins

Since Moton is celebrating his 2-0 record, it is worth revisiting his pro fights. In his debut against Ezequiel Flores, Moton threw a few jabs and always tried to follow up with a fast straight hand. Having found Flores against the ropes, Curmel hit his opponent with a right hand to the body. Once he understood Flores was hurt and afraid, Moton sped up and ended the contest with combinations.

On the other hand, against Hunter Turbyfill, Moton displayed explosiveness. He maintained a tall guard and controlled the center of the ring. Finally, Moton made Hunter quit with a powerful body shot. So, certainly, Moton has power and the ability to dominate space. Additionally, he understands when his opponent is intimidated in the ring. Of course, these qualities are commendable in a 17-year-old fighter. Hopefully, Moton will stay disciplined and better his craft. Anyway, what do you make of his latest post? A historic moment is in the making! What else can we dub the ascension of Nick Dunlap on the leaderboard of the 2024 American Express? However, there’s a catch to the story. He’s not a professional in the game but an amateur who entered the tournament via a sponsor’s exemption. Well, that’s what makes it all the more exciting. Even Phil Mickelson agrees!

The athlete would be hoping to card his first victory on the PGA Tour at the tournament across the three diverse courses on the PGA West grounds in La Quinta, California. However, while doing so, he would be able to stand amongst a list of golfers who achieved a marvelous feat in the sport, the last of which was none other than Mickelson!

Nick Dunlap set to follow in Phil Mickelson’s footsteps

The hype in the golfing world is at an all-time high as the third event on the 2024 PGA Tour calendar is reaching its climax. But if Dunlap manages to clinch a victory at the event, then he would become the first amateur to win on the men’s circuit in 32 years, following the likes of Mickelson. Even the LIV Golf Pro was all praise for the 20-year-old, who could become the second-youngest winner in the past ninety years.

Phil Mickelson

“Nick Dunlap has a real shot this weekend to be the next amateur to win a Tour event,” he said in his tweet before continuing to talk about how the likes of Ludvig Aberg, Caleb Surratt, Min Woo Lee, Gordon Sargent, and Dunlap are the “youngest and most talented group of players” he has seen. Moreover, he even dubbed them nothing short of “a force for decades.” Well, it seems he still appreciates talent on the PGA Tour despite jumping ships to LIV Golf!

As it appears, things seem a bit dour for the Green Bay Packers. Following last week’s win over the Dallas Cowboys, they faced the San Francisco 49ers at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California. It’s certain to weigh heavily on the heart of one of its most devoted and die-hard fans. Early in the morning, Terence Crawford shared a few pictures of himself.

A keen follower of the Wisconsin-based football team, not long ago, ‘Bud’ entertained fans with whacky notes as the Packers went on to overpower the Cowboys. For today, the unified welterweight champion had worn a Packers outfit in the most resplendent green and gold. He said, “Yall know the vibes!!! Go Pack Go!!!” It didn’t take too long for reactions to pour in.

Terence Crawford goes Green and Gold

Among those who commented, a few questioned his choice of jersey. There were some who, for obvious reasons, stood at the opposite end of the fence and wished for the 49ers’ victory. Then a couple of fans stuck with what their icon does best, in the ring.

In an apparent dig at the world champion, the following user found it awkward that he couldn’t wear a jersey with his name.

Terence Crawford

But soon ‘Bud’ responded that gear was a gift he received from someone, and he found it fabulous to go with.

Echoing almost similar lines, this user also mentioned how one could simply miss taking any notice of Terence Crawford and then come to the realization that he is the best boxer in the world.

Clearly, that’s one ecstatic bunch. As far as the match is concerned, the Packers lost the divisional playoff to the 49ers, 21-24. Nevertheless, signing off for the day, ‘Bud’ Crawford wrote, “Dam, that was a good game. Wish we could have got the win, but dam, this one hurts. Good night!

The 36-year-old Omaha-born boxing superstar recently announced his return to the gym. Fans last saw him in the ring on July 29, when he defeated Errol Spence Jr. As it appears, a mouth-watering line-up against middleweight champion Tim Tszyu could be underway. It’s a fight that’s seemingly feasible given ‘Bud’ needs to climb only a division above.

After the brutal loss, Errol Spence Jr. activated the rematch clause against Terence Crawford in September last year. As per the updates, the rematch will take place at 154 lbs. On that note, Sugar Ray Leonard recently told the media why he was interested in the rematch between ‘Bud’ and ‘The Truth’.

Additionally, while several people have doubted Spence Jr.’s abilities against ‘Bud’, Ray Leonard showed faith in the pugilist from Texas. In his opinion, the rematch at 154 lbs should be interesting. Well here is why Sugar Ray Leonard would watch Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford II.

Sugar Ray Leonard expects a different outcome from Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford II

After the punishment that Errol Spence Jr. took against Terence Crawford on the night of 29th July, several people wanted ‘The Truth’ to retire from the sport. One of them was Stephen A Smith. Provided the serious accidents Spence Jr. had already suffered, Smith urged Errol to consider immediate retirement following the “a** whooping” against ‘Bud’. Similarly, former Heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, claiming to love Spence Jr. to death, asked ‘The Truth’ to quit boxing and enjoy life. However, Sugar Ray Leonard feels otherwise.

Terence Crawford

In a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, on being asked if he was interested in Errol Spence Jr. rematching Crawford, the former four-division world champion answered in the affirmative. In addition, he expected a potentially different outcome from the rematch at 154 lbs. “Oh yes. I mean everyone deserves a chance. It may be a different story. We’ll see,” Ray Leonard said. “As we move up in weight, it gets tougher and tougher and tougher. You have to know your body,” he added.

At this, one must believe that Spence Jr. knows his body since, right after the loss to Crawford, ‘The Truth’ announced he would fight better should the rematch be at 154 lbs.

Spence Jr. hoped his body would respond better at 154 lbs

Following the loss to Crawford, Errol Spence Jr., who had fought 10 fights in a row at 147 lbs, claimed the weight cut was difficult. And while he did not want to cite excuses, ‘The Truth’ stated he was “a little off physically“. In addition, Spence Jr. felt his timing was off too. As a result, although he declared the “better man won tonight“, Spence Jr. hoped the rematch was at 154 lbs.

I’m definitely open to the rematch, and hopefully it’ll be at 154 lbs,” said ‘The Truth’. In his opinion, he was a far better fighter than what he showed against ‘Bud’. Well, Errol Spence Jr. now has the nod from Sugar Ray Leonard for a rematch at 154 lbs. Do you think there will be a different outcome? Let us know in the comments below.

Both Jaron and Derek “Bozy” Ennis got tired of holding their breath. The father-son duo knew it was a long shot but they had a bit of hope that after Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. fulfilled their two-fight deal, that Jaron would get the next shot at whomever was the undisputed champ. Now, they’ve gone from hopeful to pessimistic.

Crawford turned a 50/50 matchup into a one-sided beatdown, dominating and eventually stopping Spence in the ninth round. Before Crawford could move on with his career, he knew that he was obligated to acquiesce to Spence’s rematch demands. However, over the last few days, Crawford appears ready to leave Spence in the rearview.

It all started when Spence revealed that he recently underwent cataract surgery. He also blamed that surgery on the reason why Crawford landed practically everything he threw at him. Of course, Crawford fulminated before closing their argument by saying he was happy that his rivalry with Spence was “done and over with.”

Crawford hasn’t officially said that a Spence rematch is off the table but he doesn’t exactly sound like a man who’s ready to run things back. If that’s the case, Crawford will be without a dance partner. Luckily for him, Jaron is also free.

Terence Crawford

“We stay available,” Bozy told YSM Sports Media. “We available for everybody.”

Technically, Jaron is officially a world champion but some of the boxing world has mixed feelings about his reign. Jaron, thanks to the IBF sanctioning body stripping Crawford of his title, wanted to fight for said title. Instead, the IBF threw their trinket in a box, wrapped it up with a pretty bow on top, and handed it over to the Philly star.

It wasn’t the way he wanted to win his first title, but Jaron will take what he can get. In a perfect scenario, with Spence ostensibly out of the picture, team Ennis is keeping their fingers crossed that Crawford will have a change of heart.

Although he’s hoping for the best, Bozy is expecting the worst. Fighting his son won’t change Crawford’s life financially. Meaning, some of the more popular names in the sport will get the call before team Ennis does.

“I know what Terence is gonna do. Terence is gonna find the next best fighter that he can make a lot of money with. That’s what I would do.”

Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson sold events like people were getting paid to attend the fights! However, is that the case with Gervonta Davis? Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe thinks it’s the same with their now-separated starfighter Gervonta Davis.

As of today, ‘Tank’ hasn’t entered the ring for approximately nine months, having defeated Ryan Garcia in his last rendezvous to the ring. However, the fight was a spectacle to withhold, as it collected $119 million in revenue. Undoubtedly, Mike and Floyd were the face of boxing at the prime of their careers, similar to Davis today. But is that enough to justify the comparison? Here’s how Ellerbe justified it today on X!

Leonard Ellerbe lists the kind of people in attendance for Gervonta Davis’ fights

A handful of hours ago, Ray Jackson tweeted a picture of Gervonta Davis from one of his fights, highlighting Devin Haney in attendance. He wrote, “Whoever Tank Davis fights next, we can count on Bill & Devin Haney sitting ringside at the fight.” It’s worth noting that Turki Alalshikh offered to host a fight between Haney and Davis, but nothing has come out of it yet.

However, soon after the tweet from Jackson, Ellerbe retweeted the tweet, claiming, “Who [doens’t] want to be at the hot s**t.  Tank fights resemble the Tyson fights back in the day, and the Floyd fights.” He went on to claim that rappers, pop artists, actresses/actors, models, ball players, hustlers, the fly ladies & the fly guys – all high-profile celebrities attend Davis’ fights.

It’s also worth mentioning that Floyd, Tyson, and Davis have produced the biggest money-making fights. Tyson’s clash against Lennox Lewis in 2002 collected $106.9 million. Floyd’s showdown against Manny Pacquiao produced over $600 million, and of course, Tank’s $119 million against Garcia. Undeniably, there are similarities between the three fighters, but when is Davis fighting next? In case it’s Devin Haney, here’s who Floyd’s former protege thinks will win!

Gervonta Davis

Floyd’s Former Pupil Declares Shocking Winner

Yesterday, Mill City Boxing got a hold of Maurice Lee, Floyd’s former protege and starfighter in the welterweight division. Having witnessed a sparring match between Haney and Davis, Lee had the answer to who he believed would win if the fight ever happened. He began by suggesting, “It seems like ‘Tank’ doesn’t want to make the fight. I don’t know why ‘Tank’ ain’t hoped on the fight.”

Lee even revealed that he was present during the sparring match between them, claiming, “The sparring I had seen at the Mayweather gym, I would say Devin’s got the best of him.” When asked if Haney can mirror the results during a fight on the world stage, Lee agreed. “Devin is a really smart boxer skill-wise. So, I think he can outbox Tank,” said Lee.

While a potential fight between Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis hangs in the balance, Leonard Ellerbe lauds Davis’ ability to match Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather’s selling power. Do you agree with Ellerbe’s statement? Do you think Haney can beat Davis in a fight?

After Gervonta Davis’ (now Abdul Wahid) legal troubles, his coach, Calvin Ford, found himself in deep waters. Following Davis’ 44-day stint in a Baltimore jail, Ford, the esteemed coach of the prominent American boxing star, had found himself in a difficult situation with the authorities. However, after almost a month, the coach has finally been released.

On December 29, Baltimore police arrested Ford as he exited the Upton Boxing Gym in Baltimore, Maryland. This was in connection with an incident that took place in Las Vegas. The reason for Ford’s arrest was linked to felony assault charges in Nevada. Ford faced two charges of ‘assault with a deadly weapon. Fortunately, however, he has been released since and informed the fans about this through his Instagram stories.

Coach Calvin posted a series of pictures and videos on his Instagram stories after his release. One of the pictures was captioned, “Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing. You’ll see clearly soon enough.” Like the strong team that they are, Davis and his crew have been standing in support of the coach since the start of the fiasco started

Gervonta Davis

More details are yet to come regarding the conditions of his release. Soon after his release, though, the trainer reached the airport and came back to Baltimore with his team and his close ones. Many team members had vouched for his innocence since the arrest and had refuted the alleged charges.

Gervonta Davis’ Coach and Calvin Ford’s right-hand man defends Ford

Kenny Ellis, the second half of the dynamic duo responsible for Gervonta Davis’ training, addressed the situation in an interview with ‘Fannon International Boxing Channel’. Ellis provided detailed insights into Ford’s arrest, refuting the charges against him. When asked about the circumstances of Ford’s arrest, Ellis defended him, stating, “They picked him up on some false accusations that somebody accused him of doing.”

The host pressed for details on the charges. Responding to this, Ellis disclosed that Ford was accused of assault with a deadly weapon by two individuals. Ellis emphasized Ford’s innocence, stating, It was assault with a deadly weapon from two people, and the question is if that happened and I was with Calvin, why am I not locked up.” He went on to add, [I] want to let the people know that he’s been falsely accused, and the truth will rise to the top.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom had no issues with convincing his star boxer, former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, to fight MMA veteran Francis Ngannou.

Joshua was initially being positioned to face former WBC champ Deontay Wilder in a long-awaited fight.

That scenario was derailed when Joseph Parker won an upset twelve round unanimous decision over Wilder on December 23 in Saudi Arabia. Joshua appeared in the main event of that card and stopped Otto Wallin.

“Look, we were due to announce the Deontay Wilder fight in the ring that night,” Hearn told The MMA Hour. “Both guys had signed a contract to announce the fight and [Turki Alalshikh] was very excited. Obviously it was one of the most highly anticipated fights that could be made this fall. It’s four years in the making, everyone was really excited. Obviously Deontay Wilder lost. So from that moment, the cogs are turning in [Alalshikh’s] mind, ‘What are we going to do on March 8th, March 9th?’

“As soon as the fights finish, he’s like, ‘Right, let’s talk.’ And we had a meeting and I said to him, ‘I think [Francis Ngannou] is the biggest fight out there.’ I said it to you when I came on [The MMA Hour after Fury vs. Ngannou] — we’re talking about two giants in Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou, two men who look like they are carved out of stone, two devastating punchers. And I’ve always felt like it was the biggest fight out there. I told [Alalshikh] that and he felt the same, and these people move very quickly.”

Joshua vs. Ngannou is scheduled to take place on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Hearn is expecting a very dominant victory by his man.

“Honestly, previous to the Fury fight, it wasn’t a fight that [Joshua] was interested in,” Hearn said. “Obviously we just boxed a guy in Otto Wallin that really gave Fury a really tough time, cut him, think he had 48 stitches — the fight should’ve been stopped, Otto Wallin should’ve won that fight. But it is what it is, and AJ went out and it was a mismatch. He demolished [Wallin]. And I believe we’re going to do the same here. So that performance over Tyson Fury, of course, that was really the point, the moment that made this fight credible.”
