Tiger Woods’ son Charlie appears to be following in his father’s footsteps. Everything seems to indicate that the youngster has a promising career ahead of him- having the greatest and most iconic golfer of all time as your coach certainly helps.
The two were back in action over the past few weeks in Orlando for the annual PNC Championship– the tournament which sees children of famous golfers pair up with their fathers for several rounds on the green. Despite expectation that Charlie and Tiger would go all the way, the two failed to win it this time around.
“Any time I get a chance to spend time with my son, it’s always special,” said Tiger ahead of the tournament in an interview with ESPN. “And to do it in a competitive forum, the last couple of years have been magical, and to be able to do it again, we’re looking forward to it,” he concluded.
Golf fans were once again blown away by the striking similarities between the two. On a golfing level, Charlie looks to be a carbon copy of his father, with a virtually identical swing and technique. It wasn’t just their technique that caught the eye of fans, though. Their stances, the way they lean on their golf clubs, their glances and even celebrations are all identical. The future is bright for the young golf star.
